Airbnb turnover checklist & cleaner handoff

Give the cleaner one handoff sheet with five things: the turnover window, property access, bed and linen details, host-supplied restock levels, and the completion and exception-reporting rule. Fill in this planner once for each property, keep sensitive access details off publicly shared copies, and update it whenever the listing setup changes.

Linen map

Tell the cleaner what fits where

All Clear remakes beds with host-provided fresh linens and bags used sets. Record the fresh-set and used-linen locations before the first turnover.

Exceptions & closeout

Define what happens when the turn changes

A report is only useful when the cleaner knows what to capture, where to send it, and who can approve a scope or timing change.

  • Photograph damage, missing items, or unusual conditions before resetting the area.
  • Report supply shortages through the host-selected text, email, or management channel.
  • Follow the host-approved lock-up steps recorded above and flag any condition that prevents them.
  • Send the agreed completion message and any agreed final photos before the stated handoff deadline.

Keep the fixed window honest

Turnover is a reset, not a compressed deep clean

Linens: linen laundering is separate; the host provides clean sets.

Consumables: the host stocks them; All Clear restocks from that supply.

Buildup: deep cleaning of buildup, including baseboards and blinds, belongs in a separately scheduled Deep Clean.

Why these fields are here

Sources and operating boundaries

The All Clear scope above comes from our current Hotel/Airbnb service page. Airbnb's current host guidance says checklists help prevent missed turnover tasks and names core guest essentials such as toilet paper, soap, towels, and bed linens. Its hosting-routine guidance also recommends an extra set of bedding and towels, periodic deep cleans, and a recurring supply routine. Airbnb separately lists access, parking, Wi-Fi, house rules, and host contact among the details used for guest arrival; this worksheet narrows the cleaner handoff to the access and contact details needed for the turn.

Airbnb turnover handoff questions

What should a host give the cleaner before the first turnover?

Provide the checkout-to-check-in window, property access and parking instructions, a bed-and-linen map, host-supplied restock targets, and the required completion and exception-reporting method. Keep a backup contact available for access or scope questions.
Does an All Clear turnover include linen laundering?
A turnover uses fresh linens supplied by the host. We strip and remake beds, then bag the used linens for the host or a separate laundry service. On-site laundering is not part of the standard turnover scope.
Can a same-day turnover include deep cleaning?
Routine turnover and deep-clean buildup are separate scopes. Baseboards, blinds, heavy buildup, and under-appliance detail should be scheduled as a separate periodic Deep Clean so the guest-ready turnover can stay inside its fixed window.
How are damage and low supplies reported?
We photograph visible damage or missing items and report them, along with low consumables, through the channel the host selects: text, email, or a property-management platform. The host should name that channel and an escalation contact on the handoff sheet.
How long should a turnover window allow?
All Clear turnovers typically need 1.5 to 4 hours depending on the bedrooms, bathrooms, and agreed linen handling. A typical 1-2 bedroom unit needs about 1.5-2.5 hours; larger homes need a 3-4 hour window.
